The opening of these cable cutters is limited to 3mm. This is achieved by the addition of a pin in the top blade that rides in the groove cut into the opposing blade. This is a very strong feature that will last for the life of the tool.

Limited Handle Opening and Easier Closing for Better Ergonomics When fully opened these tools have a handle spread of only 4 1/4 " This gives a very comfortable fit for even the smallest hands. Additionally the handle spring is softer than the C7 tool, making these tools much easier to close.
